As much as I appreciate the feedback systems, and all it brings. I must add that It can get slightly confusing as to when one should leave feedback. It appears that there have been instances where members purchase penny auctions to get their rating back up, but aside from the minorities, we must remember that there are genuine members looking to build up their feedback rating, through using Ebay properly. So the question here, is when do i leave feedback? When selling, I would suggest adding feedback once the auction has been paid for and sent, and ask the buyer to also leave feedback once they have received the item. If feedback is not left in this way, then is the notion of feedback left on the basis of, "if you leave bad feedback, then I will to", which is surely not the way? So, to encourage good feeling amongst new members, I will be leaving positive (or neutral/ negative) feedback, based on the criteria of payment, communication, item description etc, rather than simply holding back to the last moment and I would encourage users to do the same. After all, adding accurate feedback helps the Ebay community establish good, from bad, from ugly.
