This valentines day (I know it was a long time ago) i decided to buy my girlfriend a Tiffany and Co necklace and Bracelet set. I didn't buy it from the shops as ebay is always cheaper and i don't have much money.

The set was still expensive for me so i was very dissapointed.

When i receive the item i thought that it looked nice, however the weight wasn't right. It didn't feel like sterling silver at all. As i'm not a jewlery expert  i thought that maybe it was me. Anyway i gave this set to my girlfriend and she liked it alot. So i thought "few" it must be real.

After a couple of weeks after leaving positive feedback for the buyer my girlfriend started getting a rash from them, around her neck and around her wrist. We then realised that the so called silver had chipped away and revealed the real metal. i think it was some kind of copper. I asked the buyer for a refund however because i had already left positive feedback she denied it, nothing much i could do really. The worst thing at all way the embarrasment for me as i had bought my girlfriend a fake.

Please be aware when you buy jewlery from ebay as many people are selling fakes. Luckily i had informed ebay through the VERO program and the seller was finally removed.

Bottom line is: If the item looks to good to be true (Price etc) then it probably is. You pay for what you get, even on ebay.
