EBay has over the last 2 years especially become a popular place for buying artwork.
Remember that the colours you see onscreen will never be the same as the actual painting. However there are many suppliers of Art here on Ebay who will provide a refund should you find the painting not to be to your taste once you have it in your hands. I would strongly suggest you try to only deal with Ebay shops who offer this safeguard.
My main advise to you would be to follow my own example. I got into buying Art because I found paintings which brought out a reaction from me often "WOW". I started buying Art on the basis that the painting had to stop me in my tracks. This way I have purchased paintings because I think they look great and their potential future value is actually unimportant.
The other reason is because they would compliment your decor this can actually be a very inexpensive way to completely change the look and feel of any room. Great for decorating your home especially if your about to put it on the market!!
1) Buy it because you love it.
2) Check the Ebay shop offers a full refund should you dislike the painting once it arrives.
3) Make sure you understand its size! Theres nothing worse than expecting a great painting only to receive a postcard.
4) Make sure its stretched if not there are a few providers of this service here on Ebay, dont use the high street unless your painting is worth a fortune as they will charge you 3 or 4 times the prices you can get here on Ebay.
Hang it, Enjoy it
