Although most transactions on eBay go smoothly, some unfortunatelly do have problems. To protect your important feedback rating, you need to handle problems carefully by following eBay's procedures.

Many sellers send a confirmation email right away, including shipping fees, if necessary. If they do not, you can request the total amount using the ask seller a question link in the item's listing page.

If the seller does not contact you within three days, as slipulated in eBay's Item Won email, you can use eBay's Request a member's contact info form to get the seller's phone number. For information about how to contact a seller, see the "Ask a Seller a Question guide".

If you get into a disagreement, you can try to resolve the problem with the SquareTrade Service. For more information about SquareTrade, see the SquareTrade guide.

If your attempts to resolve the problem do not work, you can file a fraud alert between 30 and 60 days after the auction ends. eBay then gives you instructions as to how to file a protection claim, which you must file within 90 days after the auction ends
