It is worth noting that often small size soldiers, HO/OO or 1/72, are often sold and described as being made by Airfix when sold on Ebay. However, close inspection of photographs of the items sometimes will reveal that these are incorrectly described and are not actually Airfix. A fairly easy quick way to tell the difference is to look at the base they are standing on. Airfix figures were never made on round or oval shaped bases unlike Matchbox, Esci etc, they were always on straight lined bases either square or rectangular.
