FAKE / COPY /IMITATION /REPLICA APPLE IPOD NANO'S Dont be fooled into buying one of the many fakes on ebay!

Read tips below so you dont get ripped off!

Fakes sold on eBay are very real looking,  and if you have never seen a Real Genuine Apple iPod or know what to look for, you could buy one because of the low price, only to find out when comparing to a friends, trying to download  iTunes or just because it doesnt work that you have a FAKE!

Maybe before buying you should have a good look at one in the shops or even a friends!

 8gb Apple iPod Nano ONLY comes in BLACK (although Red 8gb was a Special charity edition for a limited time) any other colour 8gb is a fake.

2gb Apple iPod Nano ONLY comes in SILVER, so when sold in Blue, Pink ,or Green they are NOT Genuine but are fake. 

The docking/plug in cable connection is always wide as seen in the Official Apple Specs picture(above), anything smaller is a Fake iPod.

The logo printed on the Box differs very slightly (see pic below), on Fakes the Font/Lettering can be thicker, slightly wider or even printed on the card the wrong way up to genuine Apple products (seen in pic below)

2gb and 4gb Apple items do NOT have Radio or Video record/play function, so any listed as such are Fakes which are cheap copies.

The screen on some fakes is longer top-bottom than  is on a genuine one which the screen is wider.

The last Giveaway is when a Software disc is included, when buying the Real Genuine Apple article a Disc is not needed & does not come along with the iPod.  The fakes need a disc to install the mp3 player you are buying. Apple iPods install themselves through the Software installed.

Real Ipods do not come with a seperate little Grey drawstring pouch, some fakes do. to hold extra lead/charger or whatever it needs.

A genuine iPod is bought in the box only as seen in Pic on right. Not with stickers on the actual iPod as in pic on left

Apple iPods are EXACTLY THE SAME the World Over...there is no such thing as Chinese import, OR made for Chinese market etc

And, if unfortunately you have already bought the iPod, and are still wondering if it is a fake or genuine.

The central wheel will not work as a wheel on a fake. The whole iPod Nano itself is usally much slimmer & sleeker than the thick Imitations

On Genuine iPods there will be a Barcode sticker on the end of the box which has the personal serial number of each one. You can register this number at Apple. Some Fakes have ano number or Barcode & others have a number printed on the card inside the box. When you try to register this number with Apple it will not be accepted

The whole quality of the Fakes is Cheap & they dont always work, nor do they have the MP3 storage as is listed. They are always of poor/shoddy workmanship and the Software inside is either not even similar to Apple or is an illegal copy.

If unsure before buying always contact the seller asking if 100% Genuine Apple item before bidding. Always keep emails from seller incase of any dispute.

REMEMBER You may think you are getting a Bargain with a fake but it will not be compatible with Apple Accessories, iTunes, Docking station  etc.

BEWARE there are MANY FAKES / COPIES being sold on eBay
