This type of fan comes in various sizes and is common on the table top, free vend dispensers such as Matrix, GDS, & Coffeteck. It is also used in some of the free standing machines such as Sankey & Wittenborg.

Where are these fans?

On the table top machines, they are mainly on the bottom of the machine. On the larger machines they tend to be on the back panel. They are well hidden behind internal panels but the location can be found by looking under or behind the machine for the vent aperture.

How to solve the problem.

Isolate the machine from the electrical supply

Each manufacturer has different methods of mounting the fans and I don't propose to try to describe each one. If you have a manual it should help, failing that if you drop me an email I should be able to help. The fan will need to be removed and replaced with a clean working one which gives a good airflow. It is also important to remove all pipework leading to the fan and thoroughly clean it to ensure that there are no blockages. It should be fully dry before refitting as any dampness will cause problems with blockages as the powder will stick.
