Before you buy that "OMG WOW RARE PEACOAT! or that "XS vintage skinny indie bomber" have a good look round the other vintage sellers, often those "powersellers" have larger overheads and will overprice and over advertise their wares in order to squeeze out competition,
There is alot to be said for a nice listing page, but as a buyer your main priority should be getting a bargain, certainly not paying over the odds for something from a well known seller, when many smaller non fulltime sellers are offering similar or identical items at much more realistic prices.
When you search for something, make sure you check out Ebay shops, its an option at the bottom! Often people only ever see running auctions and are unaware of the items available in peoples shop inventory.
DO NOT just look at the few shops on the left that are featured, as they are the shops with the MOST items for sale in any one section, and often those with the highest prices (due to their own overheads etc).
Lets face it you are more likely to get a genuine bargain from a part time bedroomer than a full time business Ebayer!
No i am not putting my own store down! I only list part time, and do not pay any proffessional template maker to design my shop. It is all my own work!
As the old addage goes - DO NOT JUDGE A BOOK BY ITS COVER! - fancy flash pages cost money, and who is paying that premium? YOU are!
