TO THOSE CONSIDERING BUYING PROPERTY IN NORTHERN CYPRUS!!!!

having lived in cyprus for a few years i am 'wised up' on property developers over there and they target holiday makers.

cyprus is a fantastic place to live or have a holiday villa but beware of people trying to sell you property in Northern Cyprus.

the land and building materials may have been purchased by a developer etc but the land is not legally owned by them as they may have thought, the land still belongs to the cypriots ( as it was taken by the turkish in an invasion) and if they return to their land or property they can claim it back as theirs and you won't have a leg to stand on or they can order you to return the property to its original state at your expense and still take it back.

please be careful in your decision  and take this advice into consideration.

do your homework.
