I bought an S Reg Ssangyong Musso 4x4 from member north-east1 in November last year - what a mistake that was.  We bid and were outbid he got in touch with Second Chance Offer - great we thought and sent off a £250 deposit, my husband flew from Essex to Co Durham he got a taxi to WINGATE in Co Durham and was sent to WINGATE CARS the car looked great he paid £2600 and drove away - he drove for about 20 miles before the car seized up on the motorway and was towed into Durham Services - very sorry they said go home and we will fix it.  Lots of phone calls, lots of assurance, lots of apologies - 2 weeks later we had a call from our local garage that a transporter was there with the Musso and wanted £250 to offload it or he would take it back.  What could we do, we had paid £2600 for a car which we were assured was perfect -  to date it has cost us £750 to put right the damage plus flights to Co Durham and back £250 an expensive heap of junk.  Trading standards were useless.

THE MORAL OF THIS STORY IS  -  DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM WINGATE CARS IN CO DURHAM.   I DON'T WANT TO SLANDER EVERYONE FROM THERE - BUT BEWARE
