BUYING KAREN MILLEN FROM CHINA - WARNING!

I have seen a huge increase in items (specifically dresses) being sold from China. While these look like a bargain, please beware that they really might not be. There is a bit of a lottery where importing items and getting them through customs is concerned, and you could easily be liable for VAT, TAX AND A CUSTOMS CHARGE on your final bill. The seller claiming they will mark the item as a gift also doesn't protect you.

There is also the possibility of fakes.. there was recently a buyer who bought a pink butterfly dress from China that looked terrible when she received it - incredibly thin lining, and faded colours. While Karen Millen items are admittedly expensive, do you really want to go for the cheaper chinese sellers knowing that there is a risk of additional payments (a good £30 sometimes) and after all that ending up with a fake thats worth pennies, or would you rather pay the english sellers a bit more and know that your item is 100% authentic and going to reach you with 3 days?

No brainer to me, but I thought it deserved to be said.
