I have had my lay-z-spa for 3 years and in that time the only problem I have encountered is now - and that is with the pump. Unfortunately, it has started to overheat, and as it is out of warranty (12 months) it is now going to cost £150 to replace it. This has to be done as it is a sealed unit, and therefore the easy task of replacing a thermostat cannot be done. Therefore, I feel it is just as cheap to buy a whole new spa, than merely a replacement pump. Whenever I have had a query relating to the spa, I have had a quick, courteous helpful person on the end of the phone - and it is a freephone number! I too, like many others, have purchased this type of spa because I wanted to try it out before purchasing a "fixed" unit, and I have to say, that I won't be bothering spending the money on a spa, as I really don't think I would get value for money. This is a cheap, and a good option, and has worked out at 3 years usage (of approx 5 months a year, having been left outside, and permanently left on for this period) at about £80 a year. I have no hesitation in purchasing another one.
