Hiya, as we all have seen a lot of sad people on this earth are costing genuine e-Bayers a lot of money in re-listing fees because they purposely win our auctions with no intentions what so-ever to buy/pay up!. And for buyers they a riding up the bid amount, so we end up paying more!
Mainly, the non-payers tend to ruin auction for MOBILES and but i have seen them ruin auctions nowadays for almost everything, which is really frustrating.
A way of keeping them non-paying bidders at bay is buy editing your auction preferences. This will work for UK eBayers, I'm unsure if it'll be in the same place for eBayers out of the UK.
Go to My eBay, in the left hand column, under My Account, you should click on Preferences. Then you should click on 'edit' next to Buyer Preferences. The best one is to block buyers who dont have a credit card on file, because if any genuine bidders want to participate in your auction will add the credit card, non-payers wont.....So they cant bid! Yay!
We have the following restrictions on all of our auctions, and it has worked wonders:
Block Buyers Who:
Are registered in countries where i dont post,
Have a feedback score of -1 or lower,
Have recieved 2 unpaid item strikes in the last 30 days
Have a feedback score of 5 or lower with no credit card on file
Any genuine bidders will not come under any on these categories, and if they do, they will contact you so that they you can exempt them from the requirements.
So Block Non-Paying Bidders and Them fraudsters that we have all heard so much about! :D
