Thei new Bluetooth that is much faster then v1.1 the verson to look out for is v2.0 which has a speed of 3mb much better for file transfers for your phone. This new version as far as i know will work with v1.1 as well. Also now you can get Blue tooth dongles with max range of 350 meters.

Next time you buy a blue tooth dongle make sure its the new V2.0
