Bosch have intoduced a  small hand held ECu diagnosis powered by the ESi software that Bosch write.

It will feature:

· Easy menu operation via 3.5 inch color display

· Includes integrated multiplexer

· Convenient operating keys for left or right-handed users

· Weighs less than one kilogram

Bosch has developed the handy KTS 200 for straightforward diagnosis of control units on the vehicle. Without test equipment of this sort, even servicing tasks like changing the oil or brake linings is often no longer possible on many modern vehicles. The KTS 200 weighs less than one kilogram, and can run the full Esitronic workshop software for control unit diagnosis. All the interfaces and data that a workshop will need for reliable, fast and comprehensive diagnosis of all the electronic systems in modern vehicles are available. The KTS 200 thus offers workshops economical entry to the modern, modular test technology from Bosch. Special software licenses, tailored to the needs of fast-fit workshops or tire services, are available.

The tester is connected to the vehicle's OBD socket via a diagnostic cable that also supplies the electrical power. It is alternatively possible for the KTS 200 to be powered through the vehicle's cigarette lighter, or from the 220 volt mains. A multiplexer, controlled by the Esitronic software, is integrated into the device. This replaces the laborious process of manually connecting the appropriate diagnostic connection to the control unit. The adapters for different vehicle models can be used with all the testers in the Bosch KTS series.

Two keypads permit the KTS 200 to be used with equal ease by left-handed and right-handed operators. A backlit, 3.5 inch, color display, readable even under poor light conditions, is located between them. The robust, plastic housing is protected by a sprayed rubber coat. It sits comfortably in the hand, being a mere 22 centimeters wide, 14 centimeters deep and 4 centimeters high. The new user interface and menu operation, developed by Bosch for the KTS 200, also contribute to easy use in and around the vehicle.

The KTS 200 is supplied with OBD diagnostic and USB connection cables, a connection for the cigarette lighter and a mains power supply unit. The tester and its accessories are housed in a practical workshop case. For global operation, the new diagnostic tester from the Bosch workshop range will be available in any one of 23 different languages.
