The Britains Floral Garden plastic range was originally introduced during the early 1960s. In 1967, in an effort to boost declining sales, Britains introduced the Floral Garden People (Grandmother, Grandfather, Teenagers with Transistor Radio, Boy and Girl Playing with Dog and Ball, Man with Spade, Woman Weeding and Man With Shears) . Sadly, this did little to improve this wonderful toy's popularity and ultimately the Floral Garden Series was deleted althogether in 1970. In 1976, however, this range enjoyed a brief revival under the repackaged name of 'Lucy's Mini Garden'. This series consisted of only part of the original range, was not as successful as anticipated, and consequently was deleted in 1979.
