I am i must admit a self confesed pramohoic, but i must quickly add i am NOT a lover of the 3 wheeler, i think they are ugly hard to steer and to big, However i have been converted!!
My new britax verve+ arrived last week ad i am in love, granted it has a few problems that could be corrected and seem odd that simple things need doing from a company with a well known name....
firstly if you are looking for a lightweight compacting 3 wheeler you cant go wrong, the verve has it all lightweight frame, gorgous colours, fleece lined footmuffs, swival wheel and can be used with a car seat to make a travel system when bubs is small....
in a bid to help i will list ths spec's and add my comments to them...
EASY FOLDING AND LIGHTWEIGHT: Freestanding when folded H 73cm, W 45cm, D 33cm, weight 6 kg...This feature is fantastic! all us mums out there know just how much space a buggy can take up in the cuboard, but with this feature i have been able to put it in a small coat cuboard and still move round it to get to the hoover etc, Its aluminium frame makes this lightweight, and i have lower back problems, folding it and lifting it into a car boot has been a doddle and not once have i strained my back, the lightweightness off this has made steerin it easy as 1 2 3 and is easily lifted up and down curbs with yet again no strain, THE LOCKABLE SWIVAL FRONT WHEEL is there for that extra manoeuvrability.Baby is comfy with the ALL ROUND SUSPENSION, no more bumpy ride for them or leaning to one side when u on an angle in the road, i found my little boy leanin 1 side helped as the suspension goes down on that side therefor both back wheels stay down firmly on the ground.
2 POSITION RECLINING SEAT, I have read reviews that this feature isnt that great and that it does not lay back enough well all i can say is that my baby is sound asleep as i type and does not look uncomfertable at all, it leans back enough but granted there is not much difference betwwen the 2 positions.
Other features include a footrest, removable hood, bumperbar, and basket..
Right now for the bad points and i have found 2 that i would say need the simple adjustments..
1: The shopping basket is lame, it's tiny i got a 4 pint of milk standin upright in it and that is all, it is quite simply big enough for the rain wear to fit into it....
2: So they have given us a small basket but surely you would be able to hang shopping of the handles then?? Wrong!! i know, i know you shouldn't really hand your shopping from them anyway and they are not made for that but come on you seriously telling me your don't? Right i thought to my self if i cant use the basket i will get one of those little hook things that attaches to a whole handle....Wrong again i am afraid, The handle, being 1 handle and not 2 is to thick if they could somehow thin the handle in the middle i would be happy as this would solve the problem but nope it has a thick handle so no go, i have to carry the shopping my self, no good for the chrismas shopping who wants the sore red lines on their hands, but all in all for a cheap, small run around you are laughing i have changed my opinion and yes i will be sticking to my britax verve (well at least unitll i fall in love with something else lol)
