Tips on buying Mario Kart for the Wii (summer 08)
Please note, this guide is only really applicable for the April - June 08

Firstly

The game has not sold out. It will not sell out either. After a day shopping on the weekend of release I found Game, HMV, Virgin/Zavvi and even Tesco and WH Smith's had plenty of copies. Don't be fooled into buying an ebay version for £40 when in these shops it's no higher than £35 with the wheel.

Secondly

Tesco is selling it, currently, at £32 - with the wheel. As a general rule of thumb, this should drop to £30 within the next couple of months at some other stores.

Thirdly

The wheel isn't that great. It's novel and does work, but after a few hours with it you'll prefer the precision of the nunchuck/classic controller. Therefore, don't be afraid to buy a version on ebay that doesn't come with the wheel - you're not missing much!

Conclusion

Don't waste an extra  £10 - 15 on buying Mario Kart on ebay when a quick trip down to the shop will pocket you one for £30-£35 - and give you it on the day you pay. It's not sold out so don't be fooled.
