Following the success of my Guide on Warhammer 4th Edition Chaos Dwarfs I am writing additional guides for miniatures in this and other Warhammer Chaos Dwarf ranges.

I hope that these further guides will be of use to sellers when creating listings for their items, and will help empower buyers to make informed choices about how to spend and on what they spend their money.

CHAOS DWARF AXEMEN

The Backbone of your Chaos Dwarf Army, there were four metal miniatures available with slight variations to hat and axe designs. These Dwarfs came with plastic round shields and 20mm square slottabases.

These models although not yet rare, are out of production and unavailable from Games Workshop stock, so eBay is about the best place to get hold of these.

Games Workshop also released a box set of plastic axemen, which were slightly larger and chunkier than the metals - some sellers don't specify whether their axemen are plastic or metal so check the photos in their auctions. Plastics only came with a spiked flat-topped hat and had generally broader looking features and proportions as pictured below.

Still highly collectable, personally these plastics are not my favourite chaos dwarf!
