Following the success of my Guide on Warhammer 4th Edition Chaos Dwarfs I am writing additional guides for miniatures in this and other Warhammer Chaos Dwarf ranges.

I hope that these further guides will be of use to both buyers and sellers in determining the authenticity and/or completeness of the miniatures offered for sale on eBay, as I have seen many incomplete and/or broken models (or box sets) advertised by sellers as being complete and as new.

I am starting with the HOBGOBLIN HERO ON WOLF as this is one miniature I see very frequently on ebay listed as complete or as new when evidently it is neither.

The Hero was originally produced in three parts, the figure, the bottom half of the cloak and a quiver. The quiver is the part that is most often missing from examples sold on eBay. All parts to complete the rider figure are shown below.

The Hobgoblin Hero came with a standard plastic wolf and an alternate metal head in armour and horns as pictured below.

Without these parts the Hobgoblin Hero on Wolf is not a complete example and should not be listed as complete.

I've picked up incomplete models for as little as £1.50 on eBay, so you don't need to bid fanatically on one model in the hope that you win, they turn up regularly and can go quite cheaply. Mint in packaging I've paid around £7 for this figure.

Hope this helps...
