                  When buying Subbuteo,make sure you check with Peter Uptons website to see if the stuff is original. On this site you will find everything you could ever need to know about subbuteo!

Just put his name into any search engine and everything will be revealed.

Try to buy from close-up photo's only, if the seller's picture is dodgy then chances are the product is too.

For 1960's-1970's Heaveyweight teams look for player boot colour changes, brown and black in the same team means players have been added from a different team or perhaps just re-painted.

Painting is the biggest fraud on buying subbuteo, check with a collector if you have any doubts.....

Most of the time you will clearly see that something has been re-painted, look between the arms and the body....

Check skin colours as this is often a good way of telling a re-paint...

Lightweight players started as Zombie style in 1978, known as zombies because of there straight legs!

The lightweight figure you see in most 1980-1996 teams has bended knees and looks much more like a real player. These players were hand-painted for about 4 years 1978-1982 and are the most sort after of all lightweights. When Hasbro bought the rights to subbuteo in the 1990's they did introduce some fantastic lightweight players with great sponsor details, although some did not turn out to good...

If you are just starting out then start with a small set see how you get on......the rest is down to you....
