What's more popular than a Dyson? a Dyson animal. Why? because it picks up pet hairs and cleans even better than a conventional one. At least, that's probably what most ebay bidders think when they decide to do battle.
What most people who procure a Dyson animal (DC07) actually get, is a lavender coloured Dyson upright vacuum cleaner. Often, without even the on-board tools. What you should get (and expect to get) is 3 conventional on-board tools, plus, a mini turbine head. It is this implement that makes the difference between a normal Dyson and a Dyson animal as it has been designed to remove pet hairs from upholstery (among other uses) and is included in the box when such machines are purchased new. Sellers do mention if any machine they are selling is deficient of any of the 3 normal on-board tools, but rarely (if ever) mention that the all-important, difference making, mini turbine head is also not included. So, if you fancy a lavender vacuum, then you will not be disappointed, but, if what you really want is a Dyson animal........Sorry! You work hard for your money, you trust the ebay community enough to risk spending large sums and you should be treated with the same high regard as any high street customer. In summary, the name 'Animal' in the Dyson range means 'mini turbine head' not lavender. Happy ebay shopping. P.S. if you have purchased a Dyson animal (minus turbine head) and are now disappointed, the mini turbine head is available from www.dyson.co.uk/accessories at a cost of £25 (part number 907049-03).
