Hello, It can be a bit tricky when deciding which air compressor to buy, so as I have had over 25 years experience in the compressed air industry I thought I'll do sort of a beginners guide.

The first thing to think about is what application you will be using the machine for home use, semi industrial, industrial. For machines that your going to use a home you may want to think about noise levels most of the cheap direct drive machines are very loud when they kick in and can wake half the street up good machines for low dB(a) levels are SCREW compressors and HYDROVANE compressors, look for something with about 50 to 60 dB(a) . Both SCREW and HYDROVANE compressors come at a price even second-hand but its the same as everything you get what you pay for, the other thing to consider is your electrical supply most houses will only have 240 Volt sockets so make sure it's either 240v or 'Single Phase'.

New and second-hand guide:

New Hydrovane v01 = £1000-1200 Second-Hand £300-£600 (Depending on usage)

New Screw = £1700-£2200 Second-Hand £500-£1000 (Again depending on usage)

Thanks for looking I hope this information was of help please email user id airlink-uk for further info.
