I have bought 5 cars in the last 3 years direct from Japanese Auctions and each car has been exactly as described on the auction sheet, i chose only cars which were just 10 years old ,(no sva needed) and only cars with an Auction grade of 3.5 or above. Each car was superb for its age and i still drive the first car i bought which has run without fault for 3 years (toyota estima). This year i decided to purchase a Largo from an Ebay Dealer it seemed quicker as the car was already on a boat to the UK, the discription was perfect with the car having only a small dent in the wheel arch,(aprox £150.00 to repair) clean inside and out , lots of photo`s but all were taken from a distance so you could not see close detail, but anyway the dealer said it was a bargain and i would save over £1500 buying from him, so i did, i paid for the car and waited, when it arrived i was told it would cost me £1150 shipping but on the day it cost me £1350, then they showed me to my Largo, after jump starting it and trying to find out why the engine was squealing i noticed the small dent which was actually the full lenght of the car, also the alloys were buckled, the car had so many problems it took a month to get it an MOT and cost over £700. in parts including wheels and we have not touched the engine yet, so i got it wrong, i did not ask what Auction Grade it was as this car would have been ungraded and i would have gone elsewhere... the Japanese have graded auctions daily to sort the good from the bad so you dont have to.,If they cant tell you the grade then it did not come from a graded Auction
