Powershot A420

When I opened the package, I was pleasantly very surprised. I purchased a bundled package consisting of a A420 digital camera and a PictBridge printer, half expecting to see them wrapped untidily in recycled bubble wrap and chucked into a re-used cereal box. Instead, I had the full Canon original packaging ( as I had bought the item from an official Canon reseller) and all the manuals and items neatly packaged as if they had come from the shelf in the retail store.

This camera gives 4MP of picture resolution is great for family holiday and casual use. It was cheap enough to be unconcerned if it was dropped on holiday or lost in the woods while hiking.

Best of all is that it uses standard AA batteries, hence doing away with the requirement for AC wall chargers. One of the minor reasons I bought it also was that it could use MMC or SD cards and this format suited the laptop I have which has a slot for these cards. This makes it easy for me to exchange images between the laptop and the camera.

I have not tried the Pict Bridge connection yet but just based on the camera and the package received, I would say it is a good buy from an official Canon reseller.

Best way to buy a Canon !
