Having been a seller on here for quite a while now i have found that communication with you buyers is paramount.For example a simple message to thank them for there purchase and inform them when there items will be posted and by what method and to let them know if there are any problems with delivery or the goods they have purchased to get in touch with you.All this gives the buyer confidence and peace of mind that they are dealing with a real person and not just another seller who is only concerned in making money.I have purchased many items on Ebay and very often find that i am the one doing the chasing up as to when my purchase will be posted and also the reply rate to my enquiries has been very slow and does make you think that i should not have bothered.A recent example of this was a purchase i made (i won't mention items or names) where after a week there was no sign of the goods neither had the seller been intouch with me so i sent a message asking what was happening only to recieve no answer so 3 message later and 11 days after purchase i got a reply saying sorry about the delay but they had been on holiday.To me this was a very bad way to conduct business as there was no mention of a delay in the advert neither did they bother to email me to say that there might be a delay in delivery.Because of cases like this a lot of NEG feedback is left unnesasary all because of lack of COMMUNICATION after all a email or a message through Ebays system does not cost anything.
