Net curtain wire guide
Net curtain wire is made of spring steel that is coiled to make a flexible spring wire. This is then coated in a flexible PVC coating.
By far the most common colour is white but other colours are available.
The wire can be cut using a normal pair of pliers or wire snips that you would find around the house.
Steel hooks and eyes can be screwed into the ends of the wire for fixing.
Nets would be made with a slot at the top for this wire to slide through. The curtain can be a flat panel with no gathers or you can use more fabric to make a full gathered voile curtain.
When cutting wire remember that you will have to cut the wire smaller than your window width so to allow the wire to stretch to fit and leave wire taut. In general terms each metre of wire needs to be a few inches less than window but this does depend on the wire and weight of curtain it is to support.
I would normally put net on wire and get up and test at the window. This would give me a good idea of where the wire needs to be cut.
Net wire is great around a bay window. You can use one length that threads trough eyes fitted to window. You can use the eyes fixed to the window like a centre support.
