If you are offered a high value car on E-bay at an unbelieveable price, typically Volvo's, BMW's etc & the customer indicates that the car is a UK registered vehicle that they have taken to Holland & are not allowed to register right hand vehicles there, so they want to sell it cheaply to get rid of it.Believe me these cars do not exist. THIS IS A SCAM: BEWARE.
The customer will normally ask you to register as a pre-approved bidder or may offer it as a Buy it now Price or a 2nd Chance offer but they will almost certainly try to lure you away from E-bay to complete the transaction.
If the customer mentions Safepay or Western Union do not under any circumstances follow through with the sale. These people can be very convincing & are professional fraudsters.
I was lucky & didnt fall for their scam when trying to buy a Volvo V70, 02 reg for £3600.My advice is always complete your transaction through E-bay, that way you know you have fraud protection & you wont end up £1000s out of pocket.
Best of luck, there are still genuine cars to be had out there ,but tread carefully. Regards Peter.
