Correct length for a walking stick / cane

Consider the length of the stick, this is not an exact science but there is a good rule of thumb.

 

Adopt a relaxed posture with your feet together and your arms hanging down by your sides, the walking stick should reach up to the crease of the wrist.

The stick handle should be level with the crease of the wrist.

Some people find the length easier to measure by turning the stick upside down, so the handle is on the floor
