I bought a scooter from europa trading in may 2006 as a birthday present for my 16yr old daughter. . The bike arrived with a broken back light and cracks on the clocks, ok, we rang them to let them know and was repeatedly told they would send the parts out to us. After 3 wks my daughter passed her CBT and was ready to take it out for the first time.( we had repaired the bike ourselves, as still no parts to be seen) Luckily my husband went with her as she broke down after doing less than 20 miles! we waited for 2wks for the bike to be picked up from europa for them to inspect it. we were told after another 2 wks that it was our fault as we did not mix any oil with the petrol, please bear in mind at this point my husband is a mechanic and my daughter has been riding bikes all her life so they know how to fill them! We finally told europa that as they wouldnt fix the problem we would take them to court and put feedback to say as such(which was removed by ebay!) most negative feedback has been withdrawn or removed with the threat from europa that they will withdraw warranty if feedback not withdrawn. most of the bike auctions are private, so no contact can be made with the winning bidders. i have sent extensive emails/ made repeated phone calls and i still have not received the bike back. they wont ackknowledge me at all now. I have been able to speak to many people that have bought scooters from this company and all have had very similar if not the same problems. I have now had to report the bike stolen just to try and get it back! We will have to wait and see what happens now. Again if you want to buy a bike DO NOT buy it from them! And i am very pleased to see that on occasion people have been happy with their purchase, i do not feel that i am just moaning for the fun of it or that i have asked for something i am not entitled to! As it stands i have paid approx £800 for a jacket/gloves and helmet!
