I sent a package containing perfumes to Italy, buyer (with an UNCONFIRMED ADDRESS) states item not received. Buyer doesnt allow me time to have enquiries made with Royal Mail and files claim with Paypal who refund the buyer as i could not provide tracking information ( buyer paid for standard air mail service). I then submit a claim for lost package with Royal Mail, only to receive a final letter from them to say that COMPENSATION CANNOT BE PAID,  it is listed as a PROHIBITED ITEM by the Italian Authorities because it contains alcohol, so this is the warning to Ebay Perfume Sellers------ DONT OFFER to sell to italy as if it goes missing you WILL NOT obtain compensation from Royal Mail.

It would appear that the Italian customs having xrayed the package see that it contains liquid, open it and instead of returning item to sender, confiscate it. All the Italian Customs Officials must smell nice!!
