Be VERY wary of sellers offering items with a delivery at some time in the future! You could wait for the promised despatch of your (paid for) item and then nothing happens! eMails to the seller are met with silence or bland responses but NO real action. eBay dispute console produces no result - just more eMails!

As an example: An item was offered at a reasonable price, the auction won with a promise of 6-weeks delivery. The agreed payment was made but no delivery!!!!

Eighteen days (after the six weeks), many eMails etc later, still no delivery, just vague promises. The dispute is open but going nowhere.
