I work in a games shop, and almost all of the 'faulty' returns we have for the Xbox 360 game Dead Or Alive 4, are that the console won't let them play it.
The reason for this is that the customer is usually using the 360 together with a HiDef tv, outputting a Hi-Def signal.
DOA4 only works with pal 60, and this takes some fiddling with the console settings and hardware to work.
1: There is a switch on the HD video cable, on the connector leading into the console. It can be set at either HDTV, or TV. To play DOA4 this MUST be set to TV.
2: From the dashboard, go to console settings, and then to video settings. Set the output to PAL60.
3:Put in DOA4, and fight away to your hearts content.
A small leaflet is provided with the game, detailing the instructions above, although, chances are if you brought the game 2nd hand, it wont be in it.
Hope this helps some people out.
