Ok we've all seen the Detailed Seller Ratings section on people's feedback... and more often than not, these ratings show sellers with 4 out of 5 or better... very rarely do you see a score less than 3.9

But often you'll find sellers with ratings of 4.2 and 4.1  etc...    so things must be going wrong for buyers to be voting less than a 4 or a 5....

My way of looking at these numbers is as follows....

5 = 10 out of 10
4.9 = 9 out of 10
4.8 = 8 out of 10
4.7 = 7 out of 10
4.6 = 6 out of 10
4.5 = 5 out of 10
4.4 = 4 out of 10
4.3 = 3 out of 10
4.2 = 2 out of 10
4.1 = 1 out of 10
4.0 = Unreliable
3.9 - 3.0 = Very unreliable in this section
Below 3.0 = Don't deal with them.

I have found, with previous sellers, that those with 4.1 / 4.2 for dispatch time & postage costs,  have always taken ages to send the goods and they've overcharged considerably on the postage. You dont know what something will cost to post until you've paid for it and received the item. By now it's too late... so leave feedback reflecting this... ok so if the postage cost is within £2 then a 4 or 5 is fine... but when you've been charged £5 or even £10 more than the true cost, you really should be leaving a 1 star rating for the seller.

Go with my advice above and you cant go far wrong. Anything above a 4.5 should be risk-free in 99% of cases... but those closing in on the 4.2 / 4.1 / 4.0 marker are to be watched, since you're most likely going to run into problems during the transaction.

One example for myself, I bought an item and the sellers (username cctv2wifi) Communication,  P&P Charges & Dispatch Time scores were 4.5 / 4.5 / 4.3 respectively.

I paid £10 for next day delivery.... One week later and after numerous unanswered questions sent..... Still NO item...

Then the seller sends me a message almost 10 days later saying that I was impatient and that the item WASNT YET in stock!   Hence why this buyers feedback ratings are poor!

We're all paying our sellers for a good service. Free Postage is always free for a reason... because you may be expected to wait some time for your item... a week or so... But dont let sellers get one over on you. If their customer service has a track record for being inconsistent, then DONT give them your money!
