I have been buying things from ebay for serveral years now.  The only thing I would make most buyers aware of is buying from sellers abroad.  I have had the misfortune to buy from someone in Hong Kong (WII microphones)who debited my account but never sent the goods.  Despite several emails and going via ebay I was never refunded and quite frankly both ebay and paypal are ABSOLUTELY useless in assisting you in retrieving your monies or any other assistance.  On another occasion I purchased some bags from an American (HSMuscial lunch bags) seller with whom the same happened no goods no refund promises of remailing and nothing received at this end.  Again ebay were uselesss.  The annoying this is you cant even leave negative feedback which I thought was very unfair as a buyer.  I say stick nationally and beware of sellers abroad and watch your pocket at the end of the day its YOU that will be out of pocket not ebay so frankly they dont care.
