Cult Coming of Age Movie in the USA. (Released in 1969) Two bikers on their way to the Mardi Gras, Billy (Dennis Hopper) and Wyatt (Peter Fonda) as they travel, encounter bigotry and hatred from small towns and the community. Meeting a group of hippies who are just glad to have a place to call their own, they meet a lawyer in jail, (a young Jack Nicholson) after getting them released, he joins them and they continue on to New Orleans. With the death of their friend, they begin to realise that the world is changing. Cummulating in a fatal encounter with two rednecks.
