This is Useful Info for All New Ebayers and all Buyers.

Here is an example for a NEW EBAYER SELLER LISTING AUCTIONS AT 99P

YOU MAY ONLY RECIEVE 38P FOR YOUR ITEM AFTER PAYING ALL THE FEES!

Okay you list an item for 0.99p and it only sells for 0.99p

The item might be heavy and the postal cost could be £8.22p first class.

You want to make a good impact because you are a NEW EBAYER

so you only charge the £8.22p postage  WITH NO EXTRAS FOR PACKING MATERIALS AND PARCEL TAPE.

And send an invoice to the buyer for £9.21p

The buyer pays with Paypal and sends the seller £9.21p with Paypal.

Does the seller recieve the full £9.21p ? NO they only recieve £8.70p as Paypal deduct 51p in charges.

Ebay also charge the seller 10p for a final value selling fee

= total to seller £8.60 after Paypal deductions

- £8.22p postage to send the parcel to the buyer.

=  Total profit remaining for the seller only 38p !

And then there are extras like sellotape, expensive parcel tape and bubble wrap and trailing back and forth to post office.

So please buyers, if the seller charges you 50p - £1.50 extra on top of postage price for small priced items, don't mark them down to a 1 star on postage on the detailed seller ratings.

Remember this;  Ebay encourages free post but in all honesty when is this actually a fiesable option?

The higher the price of item (the more the sellers Paypal fees are)

Ebay also deducts 10% final value fee when an auction sells.
