Two weeks ago an Ebayer asked if he could sell houses on our behalf, we didnt respond to this. Then he won a property from us, and soon after his "Lawyer" who does not appear to be a registered one, decided that things were not to his liking, that he wanted more money from the buyer, who was the lawyers client. We supplied all the necessary documents, yet the user left negative (With lies in his comments), today we received an email:
"Please could you allow me more time, as you should appreciate my solicitor is in Bulgaria and cannot just make plans to come to Veliko Turnovo without any notice. I also need to check my position on the funding. Also I am seeking the ebay opinion as to this case. I therefore request a further 7 days before you proceed with anything. J******"
Note that the user left negative before checking anything, his lawyer appeared to know very little about the way the law works and it turns out that he isnt even registered as a lawyer in Bulgaria. So, the user got to leave negative, nothing we can do, and the user STILL wants to go ahead with the sale!
This user, I expect you will avoid now anyway, but in any case I advise you to stay clear, the user has lost us expected bids, which means business. We dont normally write so publically about a user, however this one should not be allowed on Ebay.
I advise sellers to vet their bidders very, very carefully. If you are selling high value items, make sure you know who is bidding, if you dont trust your instinct then cancel their bids and block them, its better not to sell 1 item than sell and get mucked around or negative feedback.
