Hopefully I can help some of you that may be experiencing the same problems I had when I purchased one last week, I couldn't find any shop willing to fit this unit into my car and me being me - I thought how hard can it be.....
The stereo head unit itself is very easy using a ISO connector, if you need one at all because the unit I brought came with it. The only issue with this is the wiring seemed to be wrong and when the unit is first powered up, its hit and miss whether or not its going to work - when I try to open the screen the unit powers itself off. This kept happening to me untill I had a thought about the safety switch - this is the ground lead that should connect to the hand brake to stop using the DVD when the car is in motion. I actually removed this lead from the ISO connector (the only brown lead with a thin black line) and connected this directly to another ground source - in my case my ariel adaptor...... since this change in the wiring, I have never experienced any problems and the unit is great - well worth the money. All this and I was reaaly annoyed till this change and was going to drive to where the depot was 80 mile away to exchange it, but will be keeping the unit now and its the best GPS that I have used - all apart from it does not include Poland like it states.... but that's where the included SD card comes in handy!
I forgot to mention, if your fixing this unit into a Vauxall, you will have to change the wires from the ISO connector, using a very small screw driver and unclipping the yellow and the red wires and changing them so that the yellow meets the constant live as this is the memory cable and the red wire should attach to the cars (Vauxall only) yellow wire.
Any other help, just ask!
