Hello and welcome to my guide for the Epson Stylus Photo 1290 A3 printer.

Features : For an A3 photo printer it is cheap, compared to it's rivals, the running costs are low if you use compatible inks, most are less than £2 per cartridge, and it only takes two!

The cartridge are black and a five colour cartridge, making cartridge changing simple, I've owned a printer that takes 6 cartridges, sounds good, less waste, but when they start playing up, they can be very annoying, and prove very expensive if your printer demands new cartridges!

The noise level is pretty low, print quality is very high, the printhead is robust, the software is good, and it does borderless photos too, not sure about borderless A3 though!

Overall : I'd recommend it, it's a good everyday printer, photo when you need it, the extra media size gives you greater printing flexibility too, I give this printer a strong 9 out of 10!
