So you think you have been charged Too Much for Postage?

Dont be too quick to complain about postage costs after you have bid & won an auction.

The only exception being if no postage costs were displayed on the listing - even then as a buyer it is your responsibility to contact the seller and ask the question BEFORE Bidding.

You must take into consideration all the handling costs and packing costs that are assosciated with the price you see for P&P....

I mean do the parcels magic their way to the Post Offiice?? - The Post Office I Use is over 8 miles away so thats a 16 mile round trip each time I need to post my customers parcels ... and giving the rising cost of Petrol & Diesel these days its not funny!

Then there is the packaging to take into consideration ...

Plastic mail sacks/Brown Paper/Bubble Wrap/Labels/Marker Pens/Tissue Paper/Compliment Slips ... They dont grow on trees ;)

Boxes .. Ok so you think youve been ripped off and paid too much P&P bacause a box has been re-used ... someone had to take a trip to the local supermarket to get the box in the first place ....

If you find someone that is listing a brand New laptop for example with a Buy it Now of 99p but with Postage costs of £500 you know that they are trying to evade paying the correct Final Value fees for the sale to Ebay by compensating with excessive P&P. This is against Ebay rules and my advise is to report the seller to Ebay ... dont expect to get the laptop any cheaper though ... once reported EBay will remove the listing ;)

I do Not disgusise my Postage & Handling costs ... they are in print for you to see .. If you dont agree with my Postage Costs dont Bid ... Simple!

Hope this helps ??

Best Wishes,

Wizzardorea xx

PS: I have recently received abusive emails regarding my reviews. Please realise that this is just my opinion and you are entitled to disagree!

PPS: After receiving abusive emails today from a certain ebay member who has called me a liar!! I would like to mention the following:

I do Have other Post offices closer to my address, and I never said otherwise. However they are extremely busy and not as accommodating as the Post office I first used when starting my business. I simply turn up to my Chosen Post Office (Postcode WS3 2XE), hand over a Blank Cheque in an envelope with the recorded delivery Slips and then hand over a Bin Bag (Or Three) full of parcels. I do not have to wait to get to the front of the queue for them to take the parcels from me ... they simply hand me my envelope and receipts from my last visit and then continue serving their other customers. MY parcels get processed when there are no other customers to serve. This way I do not have to wait around all day waiting to pay for my parcels to be posted and no-one else is getting annoyed having  to wait in the queue behind me. We have our own internet shop that generates many more orders for us than ebay. (Please Visit Our Shop via the link in My About Me Page)

Although I do not feel I should justify myself in this manner there you have it ... I would like to add that the ebay member who has sent me these abusive emails today has been reported to ebay.
