often these are passed off on e bay..usually in genuine map cases...as rare, investment originals...they are not..they actually date from the 1950s..they are in fact part of a series of 49 maps from a 1950s book"Normandy To The Baltic", about montgomerys 21st Army Group..the maps can be found folded in a pocket at the back of the book, and are numbered to be used with the book...the devious usually only use the 12 dealing with D Day, artificially age them...hey presto.."genuine" rare d day maps......BEWARE folks...once these are seperated from the book, they are very easy to pass off....you have been warned......as a genuine collector/enthusiast..this sort of thing annoys me....what i know, now so do you.
