Scammers are now using spoof unpaid item notices to obtain the account passwords of unsuspecting eBayers.

This is the way it works. You receive an email which is an unpaid item notice that looks as if it came from eBay. In the notice is a link which you click to respond to the claim and becuase you are worried you click the link without thinking. This takes you to a false eBay website and before you know it you have given your account name and password to the scammers.

If you ever receive any email from eBay that just does not ring true NEVER click on any of the links in the email and NEVER reply to it.

Forward the email together with the headers to spoof@ebay.co.uk If you do not know how to obtain the headers just delete it.
