FEEDBACK FRAUD And BLACKMAIL HOW TO AVOID IT : eBay Guides

I have just experienced my first feedback blackmail, before purchasing from this seller, gorgeouse-girl2006 (she also has access to another id seant6136 could be her partner) I glanced at her feed back score, 312, lots of positive comments and a few negatives in the past but sometimes we get the feedback we deserve, sometimes we dont, I have had one negative feedback from a guy who bought a jeep for spares or repair but left negative feedback because the tyres were shot and gearbox faulty, all of these faults in the description, the guy was just a nutter.

however things did not go well, this was a download that was emailed to me, the cost to me was £1.50 the cost to gorgeouse-girl2006 zero, the folders in the download were empty, I asked for them to be emailed again but she (assuming its a she from the name) refused and insisted they were ok, but her insisting they were ok does not fill them with the software I had purchased!!

Then came an offer to resove the situation, the offer was a few penny e-books that I already have, but as I was not that bothered about the money but the principle I felt that as she had made an effort to resovle the dispute, so principle fullfilled, although not what I wanted, I was happy to just leave it at that and just leave the feedback. positive, but not great.

 But then came another email, this one said that unless I accepted the e-books and left her positive feedback she would leave negative feedback for me. I will admit that I was livid, so I returned the email with the attachments as now there was no way I could leave positive feedback because that would be giving in to blackmail.

As I returned the books she left a negative feedback made up of a pack of lies which made me even more annoyed as I could not understand how someone with a 312 feedback could or would behave this way, so I looked closer at her feedback.

the largest majority of her feedback os made up of an e-book entitled either the secrets of the 1 penny ebook or how to become a powerseller in 90 days, these ebooks are bought and sold for as little as 1 penny, then I looked at who she buys from and who she sells too, guess what, all these have rapidly growing feedback also because the vast majority are just using these 1 penny or 1 cent ebooks to propagate a feedback score.

using the methods in these books you can aquire a feedback score over 1000 points for as little as £5.00.

Then the really sinister bit kicks in, while looking at her feedback you get 25 lines to a page, each line having a different user identity but the feedback identical the 1 p book identical.

The only reason for someone to falsify thier feedback is to commit a deception of some kind in the future or to pass the identity on to someone else who will commit the deception.

My advice to any one and everyone is do not take the feedback as being genuine, click on the item sold and purchased and get an idea whether the feedback is deserved and genuine, if the member has bought more than 6 penny ebooks be very wary, especially when the feedback make them sound like the best ebayer in the world!! 

finally if you have been a victim of this then moan to ebay, if enough of us do they will eventually clamp down on these feedback fraudsters, thier software can spot this type of activity I am sure.
