a great way to keep one step ahead of the fraudsters is to change your password at least once a month - This goes for both your ebay log-in and PayPal.

Not so long ago, I tried to log into PayPal and was told that I was entering the wrong password. After a few more attempts- making sure that I hadnt had the caps lock on, or wasnt just being plain stupid, I realised something was wrong.

Immediately, I telephoned Paypal:

Monday to Friday: 6:00 a.m. BST until 10:00 p.m. BST
Saturday: 8:00 a.m. BST until 10:00 p.m. BST
Sunday: 9:00 a.m. BST until 10:00 p.m. BST

And luckily they were able to resolve the problem before any damage was done!

Also, If you get any of the spoof/fraudulant emails (if they are real, they will be personalised, as in they will state your username and registered Real name) simply forward the emails to spam or fraud @ ebay.com  THE SAME CAN BE DONE FOR PAYPAL

The more people report the scumbags, the better chance we have of making eBay a safer place for all of us.

I know you can find this info plastered around the various ebay sites, but I just wanted you to all know that it can and does happen to people all the time - so now you know what to do if it does!
