I can't believe there are people actually selling this diet on ebay.... or that people prepared to pay for it. However much you spend, it's money you don't need to part with.

First let me say, some people will claim this diet is a Brittish Heart Foundation diet. Check the BHF website if you want to see what they have to say about this - it isn't. They do not endorse crash dieting and do recommend or endorse this diet. They actually say that weight gain after using the diet can be greater than the amount lost.

But if you do want it, the "3 day diet" - also sometimes known as the ice cream diet, is available freely on the internet, just go to google and search for it. I won't paste a version of it here, it is easy to find. There are a few minor variations between versions but all are basically the same.

You are unlikely to lose 10lbs in 3 days on this diet, following it exactly you will lose something, however start eating normally again afterwards and it will come back on. It's useful for getting you in the mind set to diet, and can stop that situation where you think so much about what you are going to eat to lose weight that you end up eating more. But then so can any set menu diet. An overwight man might lose 10lbs I suppose, but then he would probably have to eat twice as much as the diet allows for if he was going to have any energy by day three. You will also probably find that it works less well each time you do it. The BHF do have a publication called So You Want To Lose Weight...For Good, which looks like a better investment!

So while I'm not going to say don't do it - I've used it myself when I wanted to kick start my motivation to diet properly, don't spend money on something that you can get for free.
