Yes unfortunately if you are not already aware there is a large percentage of autographed items being sold on eBay that are infact forgeries. Please note this is not stating everyone selling an autograph is selling a fake autograph but you have to do some research before hand. If you were investing in a Rolex watch - you would check serial codes, model number etc If you were buying an antique you would research period, design, notable features. If you were buying a Louis Vuitton handbag - again you check for serial codes, model, design etc Unfortunately, not alot of people do this within autographs they see multi signed music band photos going by Gun's and Roses, fully signed cast photos from Star Wars, Lost, Friends for starting prices of £4.99. Do some research as these are so rare to obtain no seller/dealer would part for less than several hundred pounds!
