It is amazing that so many fakes are still being bought. Do not think that if the earphones look real in the photos and do not have silver ends to the arms that they are genuine.
Congratulations to the Chinese manufacturers of counterfeit Bang & Olufsen A8 earphones (and similar products from other manufacturers like Sennheiser and Sony). They are getting so good at copying, at least visually, that it is becoming more difficult for the layman to identify the fakes. I have done my best to remove all the obvious (and not so obvious) Bang & Olufsen fakes but some still get through and some poor unsuspecting buyers get caught out.
As the copies are getting better and better the best piece of advice I can give is that if they are being offered or sold at less than £80 then they are fake (or stolen). And if they are being offered for £80 on Ebay then you are probably better off buying them from a legitimate source anyway and being sure of their origin, quality and manufacturer's guarantee.
The fraudsters are great at making up stories about why they are selling these bargain priced earphones. They will also write things like "I guarantee 100% original". But then a thief / fraudster would lie. There are no legitimate wholesalers of Bang & Olufsen products other than Bang & Olufsen itself and Bang & Olufsen only supplies product to approved retailers, at a trade price that would rule out such "bargains".
Don't get caught out. Whether the listing comes from China, Australia, USA or UK you can be sure your bargain will be a disappointment and the seller will not want to know you.
