Feedback - is it your friend or your enemy?

As a recent ebay user (both as a seller and as a buyer) I am becoming increasingly concerned about the influence of  feedback ratings amongst ebayers. As I can understand it the score after my name relates to the number of positive feedbacks I have recieved. My personal number is 50 as we speak and I am happy that I have 100% rating. However I have recnetly come across two examples that have raised several concerns within me. Firstly I saw a company selling Yugioh cards - Only the three egyptian God cards (Slifer, Ra and Obelsik) This company was selling these highly collectable items for £9.99 total ( i have bought and sold them for £30 -55 each!). But the company was already a 5 * company on ebay. I beleive that these were probably copied cards and that the companies feedback score was creating by buying 5 silly items ie ebooks or currency and not over months as a genuine trader....
