Once you are certain you have everything in order, also you have read almost all my guides, It is TIME TO START

You can begin setting up your home aquarium. One of the most important things to do when setting up-- a new fish tank-- is to make sure everything is clean.

Give the fish tank, aquarium gravel, aquarium decorations and anything else that you plan on putting inside the fish tank a good old rinsing using clean warm water.

Next you can place the fish tank on its stand, where you want it to reside. Now you will need to assemble the interior of the aquarium. Try and aqua-scape the fish tank beginning with the lowest layer, the aquarium gravel.

You will need approximately 1lb. of aquarium gravel for every 1gal. of water in your fish tank and the aquarium gravel should be 1.5 to 2.5 inches deep. Always terrace the aquarium gravel so it is higher in the back than in the front of the fish tank. Next you can add larger aquarium decorations followed by any airstones you may want. You can conceal the air tubing behind these larger aquarium decorations.

Now add water to your fish tank,  *and position the filter and heater in the aquarium*. NOTE Neva add Heater with out water first. Incase you accidently turn it on?

You should place the heater near a source of water circulation like airstones or filter outlets in order to maximize its *efficiency*.

Now is the time to place all of your smaller decorations in the fish tank, add your thermometer, and make final adjustments to your aquascape.

Place the hood on the fish tank making sure all electrical equipment is properly placed. Once you are sure electrical wiring is safely insulated from sources of water, plug everything in and turn on the system. Check the operation of the filter, air pumps, and light sources. Make sure your heater is properly adjusted. This can take a couple of days to get it right. Let the fish tank water mature before adding any tropical fish. Usually you can begin adding tropical fish after a maturation period of about 2 weeks. You will then want to start thinking about feed. You can vist our online ebay shop for all your fish Feeding needs. Just click the red door and enter next to the name tag. Also you can read more of our online guides relating to fish and fish tank setup also maintenance.
